Spring Picture Day is coming!

Spring picture day is quickly approaching!  It will be held on Friday, February 8th.  Two sets of pictures will be taken.  Fall and Spring.  The fall is needed for the district files, etc.   The spring is used for parents, if wanted.   The big seller in the spring is the class photo which is done in front of the stage area.  Instead of the whole class composite in the fall ....the spring is the entire class standing together for the photo with their teacher.   Payment for this photo MUST BE PAID on the day of picture day.   It will be $12.00 + 6% tax = $12.72 Total.  Order forms will be coming home soon or you can order online.   Go to --->   myLifetouch.com

If you pay online, please print a receipt, and when the order forms come home....place your online payment code onto the order form and return the envelope back to school, so we know you ordered a copy.

Semester 1 Report Cards available on Skyward today

Parents,

Your child's first semester report card is now available to view on Skyward. Hard copies will not be printed and sent home this school year. Use the link to access the RL Parent Dashboard where you can quickly locate a link to Skyward Family Access Login. After you log into Skyward, click on the Portfolio tab on the left side of the screen to locate your child's report card.

Students Post of the Day from Molly- Jan. 24th

In math class this week, we explored complex polygons and how to find the area of them. We learned that a complex polygon is a polygon that does not have a name. We composed and decomposed the polygons to make finding the area easier. In science, we explored the theory that if a tree is falling in a forest and there is nobody around, it doesn't crash or make a sound. In reading, we learned strategies for non-fiction reading and learned about vampire bats. In social studies, we shared our continent projects with our classmates and turned them into books for a hall display. Lastly, in writing, we started our next argumentative essay about comparing themes in stories. We learned a lot this week!
